Meal Plans 101 - Berklee

What is a Meal Plan?

A Meal Plan unlocks delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more at 4 locations across campus. Your Meal Plan includes Meal Swipes conveniently loaded onto your Berklee Card. New for Fall 2025, Meal Plans will include Berklee Bucks to use on campus for a la carte selections at each on-campus locations, in our campus Ai Grab and Go coolers located in selected residence halls, and in selected locations off-campus in the Berklee community.

Meal Swipes - AYCTE

Meal Swipes give you access to the Berklee Caf, our All-You-Care-To-Enjoy (AYCTE) dining hall. This location features an enormous selection of hot entrees, grilled favorites, smoothies, desserts, salad bar creations and beverages.

Residents receive UNLIMITED meals, UNLIMITED servings and UNLIMITED access when dining in the Berklee Caf during service hours. No matter what your appetite, schedule or preferences are, your will have plenty of choices all semester.

Commuters who purchase a weekly or block meal plan will have the AYCTE service with the Meal Swipes specified in the plan. Any unused meal swipes do not rollover to the next semester.

Burklee Bucks

New for Fall 2025, Berklee Bucks are included in your Meal Plan and may be used at all on-campus dining locations, in our Ai Grab and Go coolers, in the Café 24 Mobile app, and at participating shops and restaurants in the Berklee community. Berklee Bucks are loaded onto your Berklee Card and function on a declining balance system. Visit Berklee College of Music - Berklee Card for a complete listing of participating locations. Berklee Bucks carry over from fall to spring semester and expire at the end of the academic year.

Meal Exchange

A Meal Exchange is when a student uses a Meal Swipe at these traditional retail locations - Cafe 24, Café 939, and Melo, for a predetermined combo meal or selection. Meal Exchange selections vary based on location. Additional items may be purchased using Berklee Bucks, cash, credit/debit.

Managing Your Plan

There are two ways you can check your Meal Swipes and Berklee Bucks balance:

On the Berklee Card Account app.
At any Berklee dining location that accepts your Berklee Card (Berklee Caf, Café 24, Café 939, and Melo).
