SUMMER DINING AT BERKLEE
RESIDENTIAL MOVE-IN QUARANTINE PROCEDURES
The residential move-in process will occur on May 19th for the 12 week program and the day of each summer programs start date. All residential students will need to arrive with a negative PCR test taken within the last 72 hours. Upon completion of the move in process, residents will be able to access the Caf.
When students first come to the Caf, they will receive a reusable Berklee Dining bag. These canvas bags are to be reused and brought to the Caf to assist with carrying multiple packaged items, hot coffee, and beverages.
BERKLEE CAF, 160 MASS. AVE.
The Berklee Caf will operate primarily as a Grab ‘n Go location. Limited seating for approximately 200 Students will be provided. Tables for six students at a time will be set up 6 ft apart. If no seats are available students are encouraged to take meals back to their rooms or public areas on campus. Students will not be able to stand and wait for seating, in order to curb congestion in walkways. This venue will offer walk-in, takeout service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days per week, with brunch on weekends. CASH SALES AND COMMUTERS
The Berklee Caf will open to the expanded Berklee community on Wed. May 19th serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. As state guidelines for seating are expanded, Dining Services will add more tables.
TRANSACT MOBILE ORDERING
Mobile Ordering will be available for Quarantine and Isolation meal ordering only.
App Instructions
Download the Transact Mobile App. Go to your App store, search for Transact Mobile Ordering, and select “Berklee.” Mobile ordering will be available starting January 25.
SPACE AND SEATING IMPLICATIONS
In order to abide by social distancing expectations, all students will have the opportunity to eat in the 160 Caf with limited seating for 200 in groups of six. As regulations change, seating will be added until the previous capacity limit of 472 is met. When seating is at capacity residents should eat their meals in their on-campus residence hall room. However, limited seating will be available for all students at various locations on-campus for students unable to eat in the Caf. This seating will also be available for commuter students unable to eat in their apartments. The locations that have been identified as approved secondary dining locations are outlined below, each of which is open from 7:00a.m. to 9:30p.m.

- Hynes Convention Center (Specific room to be determined)
SUSTAINABLE DINING
The Berklee Cafeteria and 160 Mobile will use sustainable, reusable to-go containers. You will return your used containers at each visit. You will also receive reusable shopping bags for transporting meals and containers back and forth from dining locations.
TRAFFIC FLOW
As you navigate the dining area, you will notice many one-way signs and reminders to maintain a safe distance. Please be patient with each other as we adjust to this new way to navigate the dining spaces. Dining staff members will also be throughout the location to guide you through the spaces.
